Nancy B. Hardy, 83, of Elgin, IL, formerly of Memphis, TN, passed away Friday, June 27, 2003, in Heritage Manor in Elgin. She was born September 2, 1919 in Goreville, IL and was the daughter of Hiram A. Hudgens and Roberta Kelly Hudgens. She had been a resident of Memphis for 50 years and then a resident of Elgin for the past nine years.
She was a member of White Haven Baptist Church in Memphis. Member of the Order of Eastern Star of Memphis. Member of American Legion Auxiliary of Elgin. Member of Women of the Moose of Elgin.
Surviving are: a sister, Mary R. Latus Masel of Elgin; a dear sister-in-law, Arlene Hudgens of Mt. Pleasant, TX, four nephews and two nieces.
Preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Everett “Jack” Hardy; her second husband, Robert H. Morris; two brothers, Hiram L. Hudgens and Joseph W. Hudgens.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 9, at 11 a.m. in Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery, Memphis, TN. Laird Funeral Home in Elgin is in charge of services.
