1963 – 2011

Michael V. Hudgens, 48, of Kankakee, Ill., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, in Kenosha, Wis.

He was born on Jan. 5, 1963, in Kankakee, Ill., to Kay and Garnet Hudgens. Michael was in the Advertising business and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design at Columbia College in Chicago, Ill. In his spare time, Michael rescued retired racing greyhounds and was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Desta Hudgens of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Mark (Cheryl) Hudgens of Bourbonnais, Ill.; and two nephews, Sean and Brittan Hudgens of Bourbonnais, Ill. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Kay and Garnet Hudgens.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the College Church of the Nazarene. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the College Church of the Nazarene.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to his nephews Sean and Brittan’s college fund or to family wishes would be appreciated.
