    Herman Hudgens’ second wife was a widow, Myrtle Leota “Toby” Robinson Travis. Toby was a devout Christian, and gave caring assistance to many of the elderly persons in the area. It was in Herman and Toby’s home that Mary Houston Boyd Hudgens spent her last months, and where she passed away.

    Herman’s son Clarence married Mattie Morris, and they had three children: Kenneth, Marilyn, and Randall Hudgens.
