Wit: Henry Anderson, Samuel Scott, and Jesse Scott. 300 acres, being whole tract patent by said William Evans on 13 October 1736, bounded in part by William Gates’ lower cor. next Pruits Creek near a small rocky branch, William Austin’s line, line of William Fuqua, alias Bentley, and lines of William Hendrick and William Gates. William Fuqua mentioned in the deed is Joseph Fuqua’s father. Notice also, William Hendrick is mentioned in the deed. Robert Hudgens would marry William Hendrick’s widow, Martha Parker.
