He met (2) MARY ELIZABETH HAMILTON CORBITT 11 Apr 1944.  She was born 25 Dec 1914 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and died 02 Oct 1991 in Fort Myers, Florida.

Mark Freeman known throughout his life as “Honey” was born November 06, l9ll in Jacksonville Fl., the seventh child of Charles Warren and Lura Alice Bartleson.

·    Approximate age of 7 he moved to Fort Myers.
·    He attended Edgewood Elementary and Junior High School, graduating with MHS High School class of l93l.
·    Mark served one tour in the US Marine Corp, He received a honorable discharge at Quantico, MCB,
·    During his tour of duty he married Julia Eva Igleseder Davis.
·    Returned to Ft Myers and was hired as a city policeman.
·    During this period his children Mark Jr. was born on March 26, l938, Judith Ann was born June l5, l939.
·    After a period of time he and his first wife were divorced.  On April 11, l944 he married Mary Elizabeth Hamilton Corbitt and took into his family, her daughter, Judith Ann Corbitt.
·    They then moved to Jacksonville to open and run a chili parlor.  Honey had been a cook in the Marine Corp and was following his dream.  During this time his third child, Thomas Hamilton Bartleson was born on March 21, l945.
·    He and his family later returned to Fort Myers to enter the Culligan Soft Water business with his brother Fred.
·    During the following years he worked with Moody Bros. Green Fuel and Southeastern Bottle Gas as a service technician, and his fourth and fifth children, Lura Frederica “Cookie”,  April 5, l951; and Paul Douglas August 5, l952 were born.
·    As a sideline he and his brother John Douglas established the ‘HB’ cattle ranch, raising Brahma cattle and farming,
·    In the mid 60’s Honey, Betty and the two youngest children moved to Moncks Corner, S. C.
·    In Moncks Corner he worked as a service technician with Berkley Electric. & Gas until his retirement.
·    With Betty in declining health they returned to Fort Myers to be near their daughter Cookie.
·    Betty died October 02,1991;Mark died on November 26, 1998.

Notes for JOHN DOUGLAS BARTLESON JR.:
Graduated from Fort Myers Jr. – Sr. High School and joined the US Navy on October 28, 1954 and became a Chief Warrant Officer (CWO4) Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician and Second Class Diver.  He retired with thirty years of honorable service on December 31, 1984.  John was initiated in Perseverance Lodge No. 208 in Indian Head, Maryland in June 1962 while stationed at the Explosive Ordnance Disposal School.  His last tour of duty was with the EOD Training and Evaluation Unit Two, Va. Beach, VA.  He demitted from his Maryland lodge and affiliated with Willis V. Fentress Lodge No. 296, A.F. & A.M., Virginia Beach, VA.  In 1993 he was elected Worshipful Master of his lodge and was nominated and appointed as District Deputy Grand Master of the 56th. Masonic District of Virginia in November 1999 and served during the year 2000.  After his first wife Judy died of a brain hemorrhage he later united with a dear high school fellow graduate Kay Addison Bowen.  Kay had been married to Michael Bowen of Fort Myers, FL and divorced. Kay and Michael had two children: Curtis Michael and Lori Kay Bowen.
In May 2002 Doug and Kay bought a condo in Fort Myers, Florida and spend half the year there. Doug performed volunteer computer work for the SW Florida Historical Society.
