I believe your Nann Hudgens was my great-grandmother Nancy Elizabeth Hudgens, born 2 May 1851 in Williamson Co., IL-died 12 November 1918, and buried in Rose Hill Cemetery. She married William Worth Perry 6 November 1878, in Williamson Co. I’m a bit confused about the James III interesting bit, though; Was James III married, or single and is there a mixup in the line?
    Thanks. Jack Perry Brown

Thank you for your comment, when I began this project, it was believed that your James Hudgens father of Nann Perry was the son of James b 1773. both James were born 1805 in Cumberland County VA, both lived in Cheatham/Robertson County TN. But yours was in Williamson County Illinois around 1840 along with a Henry Hand Hudgens born 1811 VA who married Susan Harrison and later moved to Iowa. Your James stayed in Johnson County Illinois. But my James III born 1805 is listed single with sister Mary born 1805 in household of Father James b 1773 & Elizabeth b 1780. I was told that James died a bachelor of cancer. I just recently heard this tho. So I left both James as I think that your James & Henry may be brothers and sons of one of James Sr Hudgens (1743-1814)
